PLEEEASE STAAAY!: Woman Questions Faith After Benson Boone Leaves Church

And just like that, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has lost another American Idol pretty boy. The news of superstar Benson Boone’s official disassociation with the church has had a profound effect on both the media, and Boone’s Latter Day Saint fanbase. Kimmie White, one such fan explained to Alternate Universe her own feelings about the event:

“I just don’t know what’s even real anymore. I was going to marry Benson in the temple. We were going to be nursery leaders together. If God is real, how could he let me down like this?”

It was then when Kimmie began to sob hysterically and singing the lyrics of “Beautiful Things” to the photo of Benson Boone on her lock screen. The interview was concluded to respect her grief.

Other speculators are harboring a cooler, more resentful view of the singer’s decision. Uncle John, commented, “Guess he just backflipped into the great and spacious building, huh? I even fasted for him to win a Grammy…”

After receiving thousands of messages and emails from Kimmie, Benson Boone finally broke his silence and posted to social media, “Kimmie, do you want to give 10% of your platinum record earnings away?”

As of now, Kimmie remains steadfast in her devotion—both to the Church and to Boone. Sources confirm she’s already drafting a heartfelt letter to the prophet, requesting an official revelation to bring Benson back to the fold.
