At the end of July, the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the establishment of a new BYU medical school. As the church adds upon already existing graduate institutions such as BYU business and law schools, many are saying that they have completed the holy trinity of higher education.

While many details about the school have yet to be released, the First Presidency announced yesterday that the curriculum at BYU Medical will focus exclusively on teachings from the Doctrine and Covenants.

Applicants need not even have to passed the MCAT to be admitted, a seminary graduation certificate and a temple recommend are sufficient criteria for admittance.
