On the backs of Taylor Swift’s hit double album, the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have released their own album, The Tortured Prophets Department.
Yesterday, President Russell M. Nelson posted a picture of a note on Instagram that read, “And so we enter into evidence / Our redeemed stakes and wards / Our apostasies, acquired like tapestries /Our societies and quorums / The tick, tick, tick of eternity looms / Our words of pitch black ink / All’s fair through love and charity…/ Sincerely, The Chairman of the Tortured Prophets Department”
Expanding on it further, “The tracks are centered on experiences with sin, its negative effects, and ultimately overcoming it,” said Nelson.
