As the #1 school for study abroad programs in the nation, BYU offers a multitude of international (and national) experiences for students at this great university. These can be a wonderful way to broaden your horizons and gain appreciation for other cultures.
India Rav’nclaw, a sophomore in the communications program, agrees.
“I signed up for this trip as soon as I saw it pop up on the Kennedy Center website,” she recalls. “The London Center is going to be the perfect place for this kind of cultural enrichment. I’ve never been, but I already know it’s my favourite [sic] place in the world.”
When asked about the specific things she is looking forward to, Rav’nclaw says, “Oh, gosh. I’m ready for all of it!. Eating beans on toast, calling cotton candy ‘fairy floss,’ taking the Tube, and waiting in a queue! Oh, and going to the British Museum! Really chuffed about that!”
Faculty chaperone on the trip, Dr. John Smith, from the European Studies department, is happy to see students engaging in their education. “It’s my firm opinion that this program specifically provides them with the best chance for cultural enlightenment, point blank. Ecuador? Malawi? Fiji? No! I say that Upton Snotsbury is where the true global experience will be had.”
