General Authorities scramble to finish talks after writers’ strike ends

Since the WGA strike ended earlier this week, the General Authorities and other Auxiliary officers have been scrambling to finish their talks. While not members of the guild, the planned speakers were refusing to write their talks in solidarity with those striking.

Some are struggling more than others. The YW General Presidency are pooling together their resources. “As the new kids on the block, this talk really needs to not suck, so we’re helping our girl out. We’ve been writing all night on a shared Google Doc while talking on Discord.”

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf isn’t worried. “Y’all know what I’m going to say when I don’t have something prepared. Planes all day, baby!”

David A. Bednar is the only one not freaking out. “I have all of my talks prepared at least three years in advance. The world never changes, so why would I need to change what I say?”
