Murder After Dark: Benoit Blanc Called to Solve Sudden MOA Homicide

Yet again, there has been a murder. A body was found in the Museum of Art on Friday, with no immediately obvious cause of death, other than the knife sticking out of his chest. Jahnyt Marriott, an experience design and management major, was discovered lying near the gift shop, staring sightlessly at the ceiling.

The timing was poor, as deaths often are–Art After Dark was already scheduled, indeed it was to be tonight. Museum staff made the painful yet creative decision to incorporate the apparent murder into the event.

“I thought to myself, ‘there has got to be a way to make this fun,’” said Janalee Emmer, director of the MoA. “So I googled ‘who is the most famous detective today,’ and he should be here in about an hour.”

“There has been a murder, I have no suspects,” said Benoit Blanc. “As always, the doors were locked, camera footage is out, and no one will talk. Worst of all is that I’m going to the one college town that doesn’t drink.”

Said Swig employee Dana Hafanaim, “Dirty Mountain Dews are basically alcoholic, so we’ll supply Mr. Blanc. I’m excited to see what obscure pop culture references he uses to solve this one!”

Will Benoit be able to solve this MOA murder? Perhaps only time will tell.
