Syllabus week at BYU comes with a box of emotions. Excitement. Anxiety. Enthusiasm. Confusion. And for some like super senior Kateigh Deigh, love.

When Kateigh attended the first lecture of her underwater basket weaving capstone on Tuesday, she was unaware that she would lay eyes on her true love for the first time. He was tall, broad, blonde, and kept his hands in this pockets.

However, what Kateigh thought was love at first sight turned out to be two whole wasted class periods of romantic fantasy.

“He raised his left hand to ask a question and my stomach sank,” said Deigh. “How does this keep happening to me? This was supposed to be my semester. I’m too pretty for this.”

Kateigh went on to say that even though she never talked to him, this will be hard to move on from.

“I swear when he looked at me it was like our souls bonded,” she explained through tears.

Will Kateigh keep doing this to herself at the beginning of every semester? Has she deleted her Pinterest board titled “Spring Wedding 2023” yet? Perhaps only time will tell.
