Tuesday afternoon, a shocking video began to circle the internet wherein Hank Smith supposedly spat on President Worthen during Tuesday’s Devotional. While the video is at an odd angle and slightly grainy, students and faculty alike tend to believe that the incident did really occur.

Rumors of drama and tension around the incident have been overwhelming.

“I heard that Kevin wouldn’t approve Hank’s ‘Mormon Cryptid’ class” said Keiyaragh Pierce, a senior who’s taken Hank Smith’s Book of Mormon class 5 times.

An anonymous faculty member of the Religion Department at BYU has other ideas. “I heard that Kevin gave Brad Wilcox a ‘my favorite employee’ plaque and Hank was just jealous.”

Yet another religion professor claims that “this is just a publicity stunt to keep people going to devotional even when there isn’t an Apostle there.”

Hank Smith and Kevin Worthen have been suspiciously silent on the matter, though President Worthen did comment on the devotional as a whole.

“I really loved this devotional because it really felt like a devotional.”

It seems outside of commenting on the devotionalness, both will be keeping their mouth shut for the foreseeable future.
