Top Gun: Maverick Suspected to Be Anti-Beard Propaganda from BYU Honor Code Office

As the popularity of the new Top Gun sequel skyrockets, so do suspicions that Brigham Young University’s Honor Code Office had a hand in the hair and makeup department of this film’s production.

Many in the Utah Valley have noticed an unusually disproportionate ratio of above-the-lip to below-the-lip facial hair throughout the cast.

In an interview with HCO leaders, these accusations were formally denied.

“We deny any allegations that BYU influenced the production of this film. But look at Miles Teller! Doesn’t he just look so clean-cut and Christian?”

There is still skepticism despite this statement. Many believe that the film is meant to normalize the image of a man with minimal facial hair, promoting mustaches and discouraging beards.

While much of the buzz surrounding the film is currently hearsay, the hairy truth is bound to come out soon.
