Elder Murray from ‘The District’ Finally Becomes a Blue Chair

Everyone’s favorite goofball from The District series, Elder Murray, finally had his lifelong dream come true.

“I know I received this blessing in my life because I have been a righteous servant of the Lord,” Elder Murray said. “I can’t think a greater eternal blessing than becoming a blue chair…wait.”

As all cultural missionaries know, The District is a series shown to all greenies in training while their trainer sleeps to explain how to use the Preach my Gospel manual on the mission. The District showcases the service of a group missionaries in the San Diego Mission and how they overcome obstacles on their missions.

In the introductory episode, Elder Murray states that as a kid he “always wanted to become a blue chair”. As funny as this was to watch, Elder Murray was the one who got the last laugh.

“After my mission was done, I felt lost,” Elder Murray told the Alternate Universe. “I felt that I didn’t belong. Until I found doTERRA.”

Soon after Elder Murray returned home, one of the eight doTERRA sales representatives pull him off to the side. According to Murray, “she made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.”

“I got addicted to the Deep Blue scent and I never looked back,” Elder Murray said. “I used it every day, morning and night, until I started to see my body change. I could see my dreams becoming a reality and I couldn’t stop.”

From his most recent selfies he posted on his Instagram (we don’t know how chairs take selfies either) Elder Murray looks almost unrecognizable. From a distance, you would not be able to tell him apart from your father’s soda-stained recliner. But in his eyes, he is perfect.
