Five-time Emmy Award and Oscar Nominee Meryl Streep just agreed to perform Saturday night! She will be singing her hit single, I Need a Hero.

“I believe there is a hero in all of us, from Shrek to Jesus, and from Tom Hanks to Scooby Doo,” says Streep. “I just wish I had a hero. It is so lonely sometimes, being known as a sophisticated philanthropist, soccer mom, super trooper, stem instructor, and lifestyle coach. Every once in a while, I need a hero. Someone to love me, someone to hold me. There are heroes all around us. Just the other day I saw somebody do their own laundry! Now that is commitment.”

When asked if she was a hero, she quickly responded, “Me? No, of course not. Why? Do you think so? Why do you think so? I am that great, aren’t I?”
