It is a well known fact that college students love engaging in political debates. However, this Tuesday things got really heated when Omni Christensen jumped into an argument about the recent events between Russia and Ukraine.

“I just don’t think you should talk about Elder Putin that way,” he was heard saying angrily to his classmates.

Following the stunned silence, he felt the need to say that “General Authorities deserve a certain degree of respect.”

At this point, his classmates decided to continue on with their conversation, seeing how long it took Omni to realize that this middle aged white man was not a member of the Seventy or otherwise.

He soon interrupted again saying, “I just really think that if you prayed about his decisions, your heart would be softened and you know that he’s just doing what God wants him to do.”

By then class had ended and students started to pack up and leave. Will Omni ever figure out that Putin is not a General Authority? That’s one question that even the Alternate Universe cannot answer.
