Fred Warner and Daniel Sorensen grateful they lost championship games so they could attend church today

Two weeks ago, Daniel Sorensen and the Kansas City Chiefs lost the AFC Championship. A few hours later, Fred Warner and the San Francisco 49ers lost the NFC Championship.

They were both bitter about not making it to the Super Bowl, but after much reflection they changed their tune. Normally during the NFL season, they are not able to attend Sunday services. Because of their losses, they were able to start going back to church earlier.

“I was actually given the opportunity to speak on food storage in sacrament today. I wouldn’t have been able to do that if Evan McPherson missed that kick,” said Sorensen.

“Our stake conference was this week and I’m glad I was able to make it. Our stake president went like 10 minutes over. I wish he had gone longer,” said Warner.

There is no telling who they are rooting for in today’s game. All that’s sure is that they are really hoping not to be called as nursery leaders.
