As the semester draws to a close and students look forward to returning home for the holidays, one question is on everyone’s mind: should I get my roommates Christmas presents? In an exclusive interview with the Alternate Universe, Britleigha Jones, a junior at BYU, describes her harrowing journey to find answers to this question.
“It’s so awkward because no one talks about these things!” she exclaimed. “I’ve resorted to interrogating their boyfriends and casually asking about their shopping habits but to no avail.”
Britleigha’s quest for answers is also complicated by her relationships with her roommates. “Me and Macy are really close and if we are buying gifts I know the perfect life-size Adam Driver cut out to get her! But then it would be weird because I wouldn’t know what to get my roommate Brynlyee. Maybe fuzzy socks?”
As Britleigha struggles with the age-old question of whether to buy or not to buy, the Alternate Universe interviewed her roommate Brynlee and discovered a devious plan.
“I’ve already bought both of my roommates Christmas presents that I will present to them right before they leave Saturday morning. I’ve been planning this all semester. They don’t know what’s going to hit them! I shall assert my dominance as the kindest and most generous roommate.”
Will Britleigha end up buying gifts, or will her roommate Brynlee gain the upper hand by being the only roommate who bought Christmas gifts this year?
