Woman Stuck at Neighborhood Walmart for 13 Hours

There are many rules that Provo residents know and follow: don’t buy new textbooks, “Down for Dates” really means down to NCMO, and never go to the Neighborhood Walmart on a weekday night. However, Heather Anderson, a desperate woman in search of treats for her FHE activity, decided to go to Walmart on a Monday night anyways in a lapse of judgment.

“It was a nightmare!” Heather describes the scene she faced. “Lines to the checkout wound through the grocery aisles and descended into chaos. I spent an hour waiting to checkout only to realize I was standing behind a man who couldn’t find the right flavor of La Croix. He wasn’t even in line at all!”

She describes her reasons for embarking on such a dangerous journey, “I was assigned to bring a treat for FHE, and I thought I would be fine because I only had one item. I didn’t realize that everybody ahead of me in the self-checkout would have shopping carts full of groceries.”

Heather did not return in time for FHE or even work the next day. She hopes that her experience can serve as a warning to others.
