Student changes major after just one week of school

With the add/drop deadline on Tuesday rapidly approaching, many BYU students are reconsidering their class schedules and making changes. However, brand new freshman Michael Clayton is going beyond the mark by deciding to switch his major and changing all his classes, except Book of Mormon.

Clayton, originally a pre-med Biochemistry major, realized that maybe this wasn’t the right major after his first week of classes, some of which include Chem 105 and Calculus 1. In an interview with The Alternate Universe, Clayton described the heavy homework load and complicated subject matters as “a lot more work than I originally thought.”

Michael Clayton also described the toll this week of classes took on his social life. “I thought I was going to be going on dates every day, but I’ve had to study so much that I’ve barely even had time to hang with my boys, let alone go get ice cream with a girl.”

Clayton’s choice to switch majors will hopefully, as he puts it, “increase my chances with the ladies and lead me to my new goal: becoming a trophy husband.” He is currently taking generals as he searches for a new major and a wealthy soulmate.
