Fresh off his victory over retired UFC fighter Ben Askren, Jake Paul has decided to challenge the biggest name in LDS Twitter to a boxing match.
The internet’s poster-boy for bad life decisions has actually acquired quite the resume in his young boxing career. With victories over fighters half his height and retired wrestlers, some are starting to take him seriously.
Hank Smith has recently grabbed the eye of many boxing promoters due to his recent Twitter Beef. This USDA Private Select Beef has come into the limelight because Hank Smith decided to call his verbal opponent a “Modern-Day Korihor”.
This initial headline confused many in the church community. But what many don’t know is that Hank Smith is also a famous WWE Smackdown Champion. “Hunk Smith”, Hank Smith’s WWE Alter-Ego, is feared throughout the fighting community and a 3-time WWE Money in the Bank Champion.
“Not many people get the opportunity to fight such a legend,” Paul told the Alternate Universe. “If his fighting style is anything similar to his Twitter account, then this will be the nastiest fight of my life.”
Smith was the first to announce the fight on his Twitter Monday morning with this cryptic Tweet. “I am going to crush this little wannabe fighter [Jake Paul] just like The Prophet Stephen. Tell Jake Paul to get ready for three days of darkness.”
Rumors have it that the winner of this bout will move on to fight the undisputed Boxing Champion of the World, Elder Jeffery R. “Mad Dog” Holland.
Pay-per-view for this match will be held on BYUTV on July 28, 2021 with Smith’s previous opponent, John Bytheway, calling the match.
