Kyden Allred, who will be baptized next month, reported in a talk that he knows the Book of Mormon is a true work. Because he felt the spirit while reading it.
Allred says that after their ward received a challenge to read the entire book before General Conference his family has been reading it together every night. He claims his family finished the book last week, and his parents encouraged him to pray on it when he went to bed that night.
“It feels true to me, and that’s all I need,” he said. “I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it was revealed to Joseph Smith.”
Although his parents are proud, Allred has come under fire over the validity of his evidence.
“How can we trust this child?” said noted critic of the LDS church Miranda Cantrell, “I heard that his mother helped him write his talk today, whose words are we really hearing?”
In a strange turn of events, LDS apologists are also coming out against Allred.
“This kid has it all wrong, the Book of Mormon isn’t true because he has a testimony of it, it’s true because of the archaeological and historical evidence that I have accumulated on my website!” said Schott Corden.
Church officials have not yet made a comment on the new evidence, but they will not be able to ignore something this significant for long.
