BYU law students to replace Trump’s legal team

In a shocking move, Donald Trump recently let multiple members of his legal team go soon before a trial in the Senate. To replace them, the former president hired several students from the J. Reuben Clark law school.

The students were contacted about an “internship opportunity” earlier this week. A couple students stepped forward immediately, while the last two spots were filled by casting lots.

There is no indication yet to how these students will be able to help Trump’s defense. The students have never been to Washington, DC and thereby completely unfamiliar with the city.

It still is unclear whether or not they will be paid, let alone reimbursed. “We bought plane tickets but we really haven’t been told much,” said Marnee Haroldsen. Regarding compensation, Andy Andrews said, “I’m just glad to get the experience and exposure.”
