Inspired by Spotify’s annual “Wrapped” the minds behind the LDS library app have released data to users about their most-viewed words of the prophets.
Users of the app were surprised by the extent that they had been diligently studying gospel writings. They were also surprised by some of the works that they spent the most time on.
“I mean, I knew it had been a rough year,” said Emmy Aspeyn, “but it wasn’t until I saw that I had read Holland’s ‘Be Ye Therefore Perfect—Eventually’ 87 times, that I realized I had really been going through it.”
Quinton Brookes said that there must have been some flaw in the count. “Look, there’s just no way that my top scripture for the year was from the Song of Solomon.” He continued, “I mean there was like one weekend when I read it a couple of times, but still, it can’t throw off my count by that much.”
Some members were feeling “FOMO” after reading exclusively from paper scriptures, and not getting stats from the app.
“It’s almost enough to make me switch from the quad set that I got when I was baptized,” said Warren Emmett. “On the one hand, there’s the book that I carried with me for two years on my mission, that I’ve been highlighting and annotating for over a decade, on the other hand, the wrapped memes are fun.”
The makers of the app also released stats for the most read pieces by everybody. The clear winner was 1st Nephi 1:1.
