Recent BYU Couple Already Engaged Within Timeline of Election Results

The slow pace of this year’s election count is fueling a lot of criticism, as millions of Americans wait to find out who will become the next president of the United States. Unlike certain other neighboring states that move at the pace of an orangutan with ankle weights, Utah provided a swift conclusion to their election results. And just as swiftly, yet another Utah couple this week has fought for the world’s quickest engagement.

Brigham Young University is known for the hasty marriage proposals between students. And while often a joke, this stereotype rang true on Thursday night, when Jack Mason proposed to four-day girlfriend Lauren Brown.

The happy couple originally met on Monday during a ward event. After briefly discussing the stress of school and chaos of the pandemic, the two were reportedly shocked by their raw electricity and commonality. The courtship began almost immediately.

While Mason and Brown begin planning a wedding before the end of the year, most citizens will agonizingly end their day again knowing the Pony Express could have delivered results faster than the current quality. But unlike a President’s term, marriage is forever eternal. Congratulations to the happy couple on their engagement!
