LDS General Authorities Play Among Us—Call It “Pretty Fun”

On Saturday night members of the Quorum of the Twelve and First Presidency played Among Us as a bonding activity while they are social distancing.

According to sources on the scene, the first few rounds were slow, but once they all got into it, and established that using divine revelation to figure out who the imposter is counts as cheating, the disciples of the Lord were able to have “a pretty good time.”

Some of the apostles had hesitations about killing each other when they were “imposters,” but Elder Christofferson did not share such hang-ups. “I simply picture the other players as enemies of the Lord, and I cleanse the world of their wickedness.”

He added that he and Elder Eyring made a good pair of imposters, although they had some close calls. “I thought we were done for when Elder Holland saw us kill Dieter in navigation, but when the meeting was called he didn’t say anything.”

Elder Holland clarified that “The Lord knows their hearts, and I wanted to give them a chance to own up and repent of their own accord.”

The tasks were difficult for some of the apostles, Elder Stevenson reported that it took him 7 tries to swipe his card successfully. Elder Ballard also had a hard time, saying that he couldn’t tell Elder Oaks and Elder Holland apart, “because their usernames were ‘blm’ and ‘blm2’ respectively.”

President Nelson allegedly kept calling emergency meetings because he “missed everybody” while they were off doing tasks, but the other apostles couldn’t bring themselves to tell him that’s not what meetings are for.
