Mckynlee Jensen, Relief Society President in the Provo YSA 182nd ward, spent the last several weeks texting uplifting conference quotes and delivering baked goods to members of her ward in quarantine.
Despite her ministering to nearly a dozen different people, only one of them reached out to thank her after recovering.
She was reportedly “touched” that ward clerk Luke Hatch thanked her personally, but confused as to why the other nine did not.
Jensen asked, “Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” She continued, “There are not found that returned to give glory to me, save this stranger.” She then said to him, “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.”
In an interview, Hatch revealed that “I only went to thank Mckynlee because I wanted to ask her out.” He continued, “After she was so weird about the thanking thing, I just decided not to.”
Word of Jensen’s response spread to the other members that she ministered to. One member said, “I couldn’t even taste the cookies that she brought me, why would I thank her?”
Another commented that she, “totally meant to shoot Mckynlee a text.” but it slipped her mind.
