Report: Preorders for General Conference 2021 have been a DISASTER

Having trouble preordering a PS5 and X-box Series X/S? Don’t worry, you’re in good company.

Advanced tickets for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ most coveted event of the year were supposed to become available on September 17th. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Many Bishoprics went rogue, offering the tickets the day before. When the Church announced tickets at the scheduled time, websites crashed, emails flooded, and the tickets sold out in under 10 minutes. Many began to panic thinking they will never get to return to Temple Square again.

“General Conference 2021 preorders could have been a lot smoother.”  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tweeted. “We know that many of you are extremely excited to see your friends, family, the beauty of temple square, and even the protestors again. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience and will have more tickets available soon.”

Unfortunately, the Church is not out of the woods just yet. Many bishoprics announced that members may not receive their tickets despite the preorder. On top of that, the nature of the pandemic makes guaranteeing large events difficult.

“Can 2020 get any worse?” asks George Erwin, BYU Senior and business student. “First, I can’t get the new consoles, and now I can’t even guarantee getting to listen to Elder Holland in 2021? It’s like the whole world is against me.”

The Church has promised to make more tickets available, but exact dates are unknown at this time.
