Inspired by Success of Changes in Mulan Remake, Dreamworks Releases Live Action “Prince of Egypt” Movie with no God

Disney and Dreamworks fans alike can look forward to another reenvisioned childhood classic that they physically can’t stop themselves from watching.

Dreamworks spokesperson Cameron Burns said on the topic, “We figured if Mulan can get rid of a beloved character like Mushu and still charge $30 for a movie, that it’s just anything goes now.”

Burns added, “In this political climate, having such a controversial character, the Lord of his chosen people, indeed the great God of the Old Testament, really sends the wrong message.” He continued, “Besides, all we really had to take out was, the plagues, the parting of the red sea, and all of the meaningful themes.”

The new script also takes its cue from Mulan in getting rid of the songs, and replacing Tzipporah, because in Burns’s words, “Giving someone a woman as a gift is a little problematic.”

The folks behind the new movie don’t, however, want to replicate everything Mulan does. “We do intend to be more careful with our set location,” explained Burns, “Additionally, all of our stars are on a social media fast, to avoid accidentally tweeting in favor of the Hong Kong police.”
