Last week the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that members could submit names online for the prayer roll at the temple. Today they have released the results of the most submitted names. Leading the way are members of the Utah Jazz and Zach Wilson, the quarterback for BYU’s football team.
Many people are asking for prayers for the Jazz in the playoffs. Apparently it’s working because they are leading in their series. Others are praying for Zach Wilson to receive the Heisman trophy and BYU to get more games this fall.
Many musicians were part of the top 100. Donnie and Marie Osmond were popular, along with David Archuleta. Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees both ranked high. Our analysts believe this was a coordinated effort to bring them back to Church activity.
Near the bottom of the top 100 was Kirby Heyborne. One entry read “that one guy in the beer commercial,” which was counted towards Heyborne’s total.
The Honor Code Office reportedly submitted themselves because they knew no one would submit them. Interestingly enough, no presidential candidates have been submitted anywhere.
