BYU Announces New Custodial Internship and Y-Mountain Study Abroad Programs

In a move of unrivaled generosity, BYU has begun offering special internships for students who have had their internship offers rescinded.

A statement from BYU reads:

“We are extremely sorry for our students who lost internship offers. For many students, internships are the first step in their career journeys, and we do not want to deprive them of these opportunities. As of today, BYU is offering internships with custodial to any student who lost their internship. With custodial, students will learn important life and career lessons like leadership, teamwork, how hard it is to get gum off carpet, and how messy MBA students really are.”

As if they weren’t being generous enough, BYU followed up with yet another program. This one for students unable to attend their study abroad programs.

“The loss of study abroad programs hurt many of our students. Study abroad programs are extremely effective ways to get students to expand their perspectives and discover new passions in life. Luckily for them, we have an alternative for all students—an alternative that promises to be just as exciting and culturally enlightening as any study abroad.

We are now offering study abroad service trips to Y mountain. This trip will enable students to learn about the beautiful cultural practices of Provo, Utah. This will be a historic trip, as students will be assigned to add the “B” and the “U” to the mountain. We hope that our students will gain many resume building skills from this experience.”

As of May, 7 2020, no students have registered for these programs, but sources within BYU say they are confident that these programs will be met with great enthusiasm.
