Mandalorian filmed in Utah

‘No Beard’ Rule Enforced on Cast and Crew of Disney’s ‘The Mandalorian’ as Show Prepares to Film on Church-Owned Jerusalem Sets

The Disney Plus Series “The Mandalorian” has begun production on its second season, with much of the filming being completed in Utah. The crew, including director Jon Favreau and actor Pedro Pascal, were spotted in Southern Utah in late February.

According to public licensing agreements, the show has rented out film sets belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The sets were previously used for filming the Church’s popular Biblical videos.

The licensing agreements stated that all cast and crew must shave beards before even thinking about stepping foot on the Jerusalem sets, even if the character normally wears a helmet.

“I don’t know how I’ll feel about shaving my beard. It’s kind of a part of my character. You might even say it was my only hope. I guess I’ll have to base my performance off of my past roles in Birds of Prey and Moulin Rouge,” said a “Mandalorian” cast member who wished to remain anonymous.

When pressed for comment, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints released this statement:

“We are overjoyed to be part of the Star Wars Universe. The General Authorities went to see ‘Rise of Skywalker’ the minute it came out. The obvious parallels between the Holy Ghost and the Force made approval kind of a no brainer. We just want to stress how important this beard thing is to us. It is definitely the biggest issue ever and we are sure that God does not want anyone to have a beard.”

“The Mandalorian” is currently streaming on Disney Plus. The Bible videos are currently streaming during every Sunday School lesson ever.
