President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints hinted during the Church’s October 2019 General Conference that the upcoming Conference session–to be held April 4th and 5th of this year– would be unlike any other. Speculation as to what would make the April 2020 General Conference such a special meeting immediately followed. With so many rumors in circulation, insiders have come forward to share the truth of the matter: the upcoming semi-annual General Conference meeting of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will see an official stand against plastic surgery.
Leaders within the Church have noted the long-prevalent convention throughout Utah. Cosmetic physical enhancements are now being recognized as contradictory to the teaching that the body is a temple. It will be numbered amongst other modifications considered to tarnish the body such as tattoos and piercings.
“I had no idea it was such a big deal,” said Paul Jensen, a member of the Church living in the Utah county area. “Really, I wonder if I’ll even notice a difference. Contact lenses, on the other hand, are what we should be looking out for. Those are some deceptive contraptions. How else can I tell who the seeing folks are?”
The results from plastic surgery are described as, “a constant reminder of the mistakes made by those who have had work done.” As such, sources also say that a call to action is expected to follow the ban. Specifically, a call for all cosmetic enhancement surgeries to be reversed.
We can expect the endless billboards along Utah’s I-89 to shift from advertisements for surgery to surgery reversal in the near future once this General Conference season has passed. An influx of contact lenses advertisements may be soon to follow.
Hahaha I Hope this is a joke. You can obviously see where you photoshopped. These are billboards that are on I-89 about the cosmopolitan magazine and is not produced by the church haha.
At this time in history, particularly, the flesh should not be our focus. We all have Christ within and should know what His Spirit is prompting us to do individually and collectively.
April fools…
Oh dear. At least half the sisters in my ward have been nipped, tucked, implanted, botoxed … They will have to find another church! What will happen to Utah’s major source of income from plastic surgery centers? The economoy will sink and the women will look less than perfect. Say it isn’t so. 😉
