BYU Voices: Impeachment Proceedings in the Senate

With impeachment proceedings taking place in Washington D.C., the Alternate Universe decided to gather some local opinions on what’s happening in our nation’s capitol. Here’s what your fellow Provo residents had to say:

“I’m so glad they’re finally acting to remove Trump from office. I’ve been in favor of impeachment since he announced his candidacy in 2015.”- Sandra Pardey, Musical Chairs DJ

“I think the whole thing is a lot of nonsense. What’s the point of putting the President inside of a giant peach anyway?” – Nathan Harris, Part-time Police Florist

“It’ll be interesting to see how bold, daring representatives like Senator Mitt Romney will act in this time of crisis.” – Pierre Delecto, Legendary Twitter Political Analyst

“The real question is whether being removed from office would prevent Trump from running for President in 2020.”- Mike Tollins, Amateur Rattlesnake Choreographer

“This is yet another failure of corrupt capitalists and tyrants. The government must be torn down to the last brick and replaced with the glorious vision of Marx and Engels.”- A Communist Baby, Elizabeth Warren Campaign Adviser

There sure are a lot of opinions out there. It’s good to know that while we may think differently, we can all come together to agree that the other people are wrong.
