The Definitive Ranking of Provo Influencers

While most BYU students will never find themselves “under the influence,” that’s not to say that they don’t find other ways to be influenced by something toxic: Instagram. Here is the definitive ranking of Provo influencers that every BYU student needs to be following:

9. Normon Memes (@normonmemes): Does anyone actually play that card game they made? The one that targets “edgy” members of the Church? It can be yours for a whopping $25, and that’s before the $7 shipping. Yikes, we don’t exactly all live in Alpine. Sure, they have a podcast, but doesn’t everyone in 2019?

8. Theblackmormons (@theblackmormons): It’s been over a year since President Nelson announced that the Church would be moving away from the term “Mormon,” but they still haven’t changed their username. Can they be trusted? Really makes you think.

7. Anyone who promotes Utah boutiques: Each of her posts will keep you wondering if she’s with her boyfriend because she genuinely loves him, or because he’s good for her “brand.” Use the Piper & Scoot discount code in her bio for 20% off!

6. Provo Hoe life (@provohoelife): It’s a nice account, but it doesn’t quite give you the gardening advice you may be seeking. For better gardening tips, try @oremweedpullerlife.

5. Kwaku (@kwakuel): He got kicked off of Provo’s Most Eligible early on, but it’s okay, we still love him. Maybe you’ll catch him at a party, or if you’re lucky, maybe he’ll even ask you on a date!

4. The Alternate Universe (@alternateuniversebyu): Home of the finest news in Provo, they keep it real and provide exclusive news stories you won’t find anywhere else. A definitive must-follow for every Provo resident.

3. Zach Wilson (@zachkapono1): Zach is an all-around good guy who will keep you entertained both on and off the field. Did we mention how handsome he is? Plus, he escaped from a family of Ute fans, so you know he has a knack for choosing the right.

2. Hank Smith (@hankrsmith): Hank is an uplifting guy who will both inspire you and make you laugh through his social media posts. Here’s a fun fact you might not know about Hank: his online popularity helped him land a job as a professor at BYU! It’s only all fun and games until it’s Sunday night and you remember all of your homework for his class is due in 15 minutes.

1. Basic Provo Bro (@basicprovobro): He almost won Provo’s Most Eligible. He fights DezNats on Twitter. He even has hair. Keaton is the perfect combo for all your Provo meme needs. We must warn you, however, that he might DM your roommate, so proceed with caution.

Happy following!
