The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has just announced that Baby Yoda will replace Kelli O’Hara and Richard Thomas as the two guest artists for this year’s Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. They said, “The former guests we had were just not well known enough, and not a single ticketholder seemed excited for them. We quickly had to search for another guest, and we couldn’t be happier with Baby Yoda coming on board.”
Reports have it that they reached out to Disney to check on Baby Yoda’s availability during this Christmas season since he has had a very busy month. He has stormed the internet with his grace and presence, and is said to have passed up the opportunity to host SNL next weekend so he could be present at the concert.
We are unsure what his role will be in the upcoming show, but he really doesn’t have to do much in order to please the concert goers – and millions that will be streaming the performance. George Lucas will also be in attendance and is excited to finally see two of his favorite things collaborate together. He said, “I have always wanted the Tabernacle Choir to collaborate with Star Wars, and to finally see that actually brings tears of joy to my eyes.”
We were unable to understand Baby Yoda’s comment for this article, but he definitely looked like he was interested enough in this opportunity. He will not be doing any signings or photos at the event unfortunately, but there will be plenty of merchandise for purchase. The Christmas Concert will be held across three nights from December 12-14 at 8:00 MT each night. The final night will be broadcast live only on the Disney+ streaming platform.
