The Theater and Media Arts Department announced that they will scrub all films from their curriculum except for the newly released “Book of Mormon” video series.
“Everything that could be said about film has been said already,” said Thomas Johnson, Dean of the College, “Our students can learn everything they need to know from these really short clips.”
Students studying film will be encouraged to write scripts and direct capstone projects based only on stories from the Book of Mormon. Special permission will be needed to adapt something from the Bible. Acting students will be given lines directly from the Book of Mormon, to better prepare them for their future careers as actors in the new series. The new slogan of the Acting Department will be “And It Came To Pass.”
The department dean refused to take questions, due to fact that he has not yet finished watching the new Book of Mormon video.
