President Worthen, who’s administration recently passed key changes to the Honor Code and created new economic opportunities through a Cougareat Wendy’s, received a surprise call from the DNC this afternoon.
Having accidentally met the required polling threshold to qualify for the second round of democratic primary debates, BYU’s President is expected to join the other candidates on-stage tomorrow night. Worthen immediately began lashing out at front runner Joe Biden to score political points.
“As president of the United States, I will go a step farther than any other candidate and sign an official executive order designating Joe Biden as the worst.” Writes Worthen on Twitter before turning to his newly appointed campaign manager, Kalani Sitake, “This is the best play to make, right coach?”
President Worthen may be a long-shot candidate in a crowded election, but the lawyer behind one of the best value college educations in the country is already picking up support. Senator Mitt Romney has endorsed his candidacy, claiming that “BYU Creamery ice cream would be good for America” and many BYU students are already using the hashtags #Worthen2020 and #KevinIsHeaven.
Although Americans would love to hear the concrete policy proposals of this new candidate and others, it is generally understood that the upcoming two-hour debates will be spent mostly in petty fights. At press time Worthen was reportedly on a plane to Detroit memorizing more attack lines for Biden.
