Marriott Business School Dean Says New Direct Sales/Multi-Level Marketing Major ‘Definitely Not a Pyramid Scheme’

Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business announced the opening of a new major called Direct Sales/Multi-Level Marketing at a press conference on Tuesday.

“We have so many students who are so ready to change their lives and make $200 in a week from the comfort of their own homes.” says Chester Ponzi, dean of the Marriott School of Business, “We are excited to give them the opportunity to learn how to bother their friends on Facebook in an academic setting.”

During a Q&A, the dean was quick to note that the major will not focus on pyramid schemes, and the fact that the business model students will be focusing on looks identical to most pyramid schemes should just be ignored.

The new major will require students to take classes like “Essential Oils 101,” “Intro To Why You Need Mary Kay,” and “How to Lose All Your Friends and Your Money.”

Registration for classes is now open. The major is application only, but students will have a better chance of getting in if they purchase the Direct Sales Application Assistant package for $500 and recruit seven of their friends to sign up too.
